Becoming an Ironman
In June I will be attempting a challenge that will stretch me to the limits of my physical fitness – an Ironman triathlon. I will have 17 hours to complete a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike and 26.2 mile run. Now in the midst of my training, there are days when I ask myself, “Why did I sign up for this? It seems impossible!”
While my Ironman goal seems like a challenge to me, a far greater challenge is experienced on a daily basis by anyone struggling to overcome drug or alcohol addiction. My aunt Paulette spent the last few years of her life held captive by alcoholism. I often think of her and regret that I don’t know if she knew Jesus as her Lord and Savior. I will be swimming, biking, and running in memory of my “Aunty Pinks” and would like to help others overcome addiction and learn about the saving Grace of Jesus Christ by supporting the ministry of MN Adult & Teen Challenge.
Would you join me in making a donation to this amazing ministry that helps men and women of all ages turn impossible challenges into a life-changing freedom from addiction? Thank you for your support!
